What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead the refinery Machinery Reliability Engineering Team of 8 FHR employees which includes:
  • 4 machinery engineers
  • 4 machinery specialists
  • Lead a team focused on EHS, compliance and risk reduction.
  • Develop talent and maintain a healthy organizational culture.
  •  Drive continuous improvement in machinery performance in support of the site vision to be an industry leader in safety, environmental footprint, reliability and competitive operation. 

Accomplish this through the following:

Develop technical professionals and support advancement of reliability culture across the site.
Application of reliability and technical expertise to provide support, troubleshooting and recommendations.
Implementation of equipment programs to systematically and methodically reduce risk and improve performance.
Originate machinery related improvement opportunities and provide technical support for projects to improve the site.
Support the maintenance and turnaround organizations as necessary.

 The Experience You Will Bring


  • 5+ years’ experience in refining or industrial machinery industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in an engineering or technical support function / role
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2+ years’ experience supervising technical or machinery organization
  • Technical knowledge of processing plant machinery (pumps, compressors, turbines)
  • Knowledge of reliability and problem-solving methods and concepts (e.g. RCFA, FMEA, condition monitoring, etc.)
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
