Stamping Maintenance-Lead


Stamping Maintenance Lead:   1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30 PM

Lead and manage daily execution of maintenance activities for all maintenance A & B technicians including the scheduling and execution of the preventative/predictive maintenance program. Oversee and manage the spare parts inventory and process components.  Actively practice, coach and support MBM principles.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Execute the preventative maintenance program by generating weekly PM schedules, assigning PM tasks, and ensuring PM schedule is completed on-time. Evaluate any late PM’s with supervisor and take corrective action to resolve any late PM’s.

Manage and track the equipment spares inventory program to ensure proper minimum/maximum levels.

Facilitate daily shift communication events and effectively communicate area feedback to supervisor.

Actively seek input from equipment users, process techs and engineers to ensure existing equipment is operating with no downtime and high efficiencies.

Proactively seek out opportunities to resolve systemic problems and identify cost saving ideas; communicate and recommend corrective action to maintenance team.

Work closely with engineering and process techs to implement large-scale projects including design and fabrication of basic components, and design and programming of electronic controls including PLC’s.

Conduct daily walkthroughs on stamping equipment and perform daily housekeeping in shop and work areas.

Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as Stamping presses, take-ups, decoilers, and straighteners.

Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors etc. as required.

Perform preventative, predictive and emergency work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.

Apply quality principles to all activities to ensure customer satisfaction.

Must use appropriate safety equipment & LOTO procedures and promote safety among co-workers.

Maintain a positive and strong relationship with peers.

Organize the execution and timely completion of preventative and emergency work orders by assigning them to maintenance personnel.

Collect and communicate cost saving ideas and projects to management.

Ensure all new and existing equipment have appropriate preventative maintenance schedules assigned to them to increase uptime of equipment.

The Experience You Will Bring


Must have a two-year degree in technical area and three years' experience in Stamping Maintenance OR five years' experience in an industrial maintenance field with a proven track record as a leader.

Machine Shop/Fabrication skills; Three years' experience in industrial maintenance; Basic knowledge of AC/DC principles including the knowledge to use a multi-meter for electrical troubleshooting; Proven welding skills; Demonstrated ability to use Precision Measuring Equipment (PME) such as torque wrenches, micrometers & calipers.

Must be competent in decision making and the ability to maintain organization while multi-tasking; Must have a proven track record of adherence to safety regulations; Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively in a team-based environment; Must demonstrate history maintaining good working relationships with all areas of the organization; Ability to read and interpret technical prints and wiring schematics; Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication; Must be willing to work on a rotating weekend schedule as required; Must be able to set up and operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools and other metal working equipment.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

What Will Put You Ahead

Two-year degree and five years' experience in industrial maintenance with a proven track record as a leader.

Prior experience using, coaching and supporting MBM principles.
