Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)

In this role you will be working as part of our dynamic payroll team and will be part of our European HR capability. Here you will be primarily coordinating the payroll process for one of KOCH companies Guardian in Germany. In this role you will have the chance to partner up with different teams across HR and Finance internally and also with our external payroll provider.

This is a temporary assignment, where you will be able to build yourself a network in a global environment.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Coordination of the Germany payroll processes, ensuring compliance, and vendor oversight
  • Government interactions and statutory submissions for payroll and HR for Germany
  • Advising on issues related to payroll compliance, benefits, and taxes
  • Support internal & external Payroll audits
  • Preparation of regular HR reports and analysis
  • Support for the accounting department from payroll perspective
  • Being a key point of contact for employees and supervisors in terms of remuneration inquiries, system queries (Dayforce)
  • Participate in global/local payroll projects accordingly to business requirements
  • Continuous improvement of processes in the payroll and employment compliance area
  • Back up and support to other members of the team including potential opportunities to provide support to other Koch companies in Germany

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Proven payroll and employment tax experience
  • Extensive experience of using Excel
  • Strong system and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical aptitude. Well organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Independent and self-driven way of working

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of German labor law, social insurance, tax regulations
  • German language skills
