Financial Analyst


Koch Industries, Inc. (KII)is seeking a contribution minded Financial Analyst in Wichita, KS.  This role in our CFO organization, will be part of a strong Accounting team to help drive their capability performance as well as support the Capability Leader s in decision making and strategy development.

We are seeking an experienced analyst who knows their way around the General LedgerFinancial Statements and Reporting Someone with technical and analytical knowledge to leverageproject leadership/execution experience, and a passion for driving transformation initiatives

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide accurate and transparent reporting into the financial statements to Capability Leaders 
  • Learn and utilize technology to visually tell the story 
  • Develop and foster partnerships with Capability Leaders to deliver analytical insights that support business strategies and profitable decision making 
  • Seek and share knowledge, both internally and externally, to implement transformative best practices 
  • Respectfully challenge historical practices and originate recommendations for process improvements 
  • Develop metrics and analysis that identify KPI’s and business opportunities 
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support the monthly close process 
  • Prepare the Decision Making Framework (DMF) to support leadership’s decision-making and analysis processes 
  • Communicate analysis and results clearly, with logical framing and appropriate detail to a wide range of audiences including senior management 
  • Prioritize and organize and maintain several concurrent projects while providing realistic delivery dates and managing customer expectations

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related Business program
  • Minimum of 2+ years prior experience and demonstrated progression of knowledge in an Accounting or Financial Analysis focused role(s) 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365; (Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint, PowerApps)

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master’s degree, CPA, or other professional business certification 
  • Intercompany transfer / internal billing / accounts payable experience is a plus!
  • Infor or other large ERP; integrated financial system experience 
  • Experience using business analysis and data visualization tools beyond Excel (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, VBA, Hyperion, SQL) 
  • 3 years or more of progressive/varied experience in Accounting and Analysis roles that includes reporting on financial results, identifying opportunities for value creation, and providing KPI insights and decision support is preferred for our Senior level hires
