Application Development Engineer

INVISTA is seeking an Application Development Engineer to join our team. This person will play a critical role in new product development and process optimization for extrusion. We are looking for someone with the technical understanding of both resin and end use application performance to help drive future growth opportunities.
We are open to this role being in Kennesaw, GA or working remotely from your home office.
What You Will Do In Your Role
Work with potential customers to successfully develop a resin for extrusion
Prepare, contribute, and participate in customer technical presentations and meetings
Work closely with R&D to optimize resin formulations for end-use applications
Support extrusion projects; help identify new applications and support trials with potential customers
Conduct and manage end use application testing and results; translate results for internal and external customers
Work with business development and technical and SMEs to obtain listing for extruded polymer applications
Determine processing recommendations for extrudable resin
Build internal relationships across business development, technical experts and R&D team to share information, experiment, collaborate and translate results
The Experience You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s in engineering, scientific or technical degree
- Experience extruding resin
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience commercializing new business/products
- Experience with key drivers: market analysis, scenarios and competition and threats
This role is not eligible to be worked remotely from Colorado
