Paint Technician 2nd Shift


The SRG Global facility in Newbern, Tennessee is now hiring Paint Technicians. In this position, you will be utilizing your knowledge and skills while building a fulfilling career in the automotive supplier industry! What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Assist engineering in the development, implementation and editing of new and existing robot paths and processes
  • Set-up production paint process for the Eisenmann and the blackout paint system
  • Support and/or facilitate continuous improvement teams
  • Ensure that all parts meet or exceed customer expectations for quality by utilizing both prevention and detection methods
  • Troubleshoot first line problems in the booths and involve maintenance and/or engineering for further attention
  • Notify appropriate support personnel when problems occur. Document corrective actions when problems are resolved.
  • Properly fill out all specified production documentation required for the position (start-up, shutdown check sheets, downtime logs, etc.)
  • Conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner by following all job safe practices
  • Actively participate in the meeting or exceeding of departmental goals for safety, quality, and productivity by employing the principles of lean manufacturing and by utilizing appropriate problem solving methodologies
  • Utilize the 5S process and philosophy to establish work place norms for orderliness, cleanliness, and discipline
  • Adhere to all plant policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Accept personal ownership of company, plant and departmental goals for quality, productivity and safety
  • Maintain and continuously improve work area, associated tools, and equipment
  • Continuously develop, maintain and enhance job skills and knowledge throughout all production areas of the plant

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Proficient in operating and troubleshooting automated paint manufacturing process
  • Ability to train others
  • Hazardous materials handling training
  • Basic computer skills (windows based)
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated individual who works comfortably with others as a team
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the overall paint system and its design
  • Must maintain high standards for work attendance and performance
  • Must be willing to work extended work hours and weekends if necessary

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures & perform work indoors/outdoors as needed
  • Frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger fine manipulation, handle, and feel; reach with arms and hands above head; talk and hear
  • Sometimes required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or sit
  • Specific vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
