John Zink is looking to hire a Piping Designer to support the team in Tulsa. This role will work closely with the Project Team, Engineers, Sales and the Customer to provide drawings and information specific to customer expectations. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop new designs for modular piping systems, product enhancements as required by Sales, the Customer, and Project Management. This will include the layout, design, and detail of projects following specifications as instructed.
  • Manage drawings in a data management software (Vault)
  • Communicate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design and fabrication problems
  • Check design packages of self and others to ensure design is of high quality and is optimized for fabrication
  • Collaborate with team members to create drawing standards to better improve accuracy, standardization, and time efficiency

    The Experience You Will Bring


    • 5+ years’ experience in design and drafting specific to piping design
    • 5+ years' experience in AutoCAD, PDMS or AutoCAD Plant 3D
    • 5+ years' experience working with structural designs using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Plant 3D
    • Experience using Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Experience working with specific Codes and Standards such as PIP, ASME, AISE and B31.3

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • 10+ years’ experience in design and drafting  piping skid systems
    • 10+ years of working in the field with piping
    • 10+ years' experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, or Smart Plant
    • 10+ years' experience Inventor, ProEngineer, or Solidworks
    • 5+ years' experience using Advanced Steel
    • Experience using Tekla, Advance Steel, or ProSteel
