Quality Manager - Wilmington

KSS is seeking a talented, energetic, quality professional to improve, promote, and sustain the Quality Management System at KSS. The selected individual will be hardworking with solid quality skills and a strong knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standards. This individual will work cross-functionally to drive strategic quality initiatives throughout the organization

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead the quality effort for the site.
  • Drive the company's compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
  • Drive cost of quality metrics
  • Quality effort includes (but is not limited to) the following:
    • ISO 9001 certification
    • Internal audits
    • Customer audits
    • Corrective actions
    • Document Change System
    • Process Deviation System
    • Measuring and test system calibration
    • Non-Conforming material system
    • Customer Care Program (Customer complaint & warranty determination)
  • Critically assess these systems and lead the organization to meaningful improvements.
  • Review product testing data, plant scrap data and customer complaints to determine areas that require improvement.In some cases, you will drive that improvement.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional efforts related to product quality, corrective actions and other teams related to the quality scope.
  • This person must develop a well-rounded understanding of how or products are made; how they are used; and the implications of various product test results.
  • Work closely with process engineers, operations, product management, R&D and supply chain.
  • Leads quality staff
  • Expert in root cause analysis methods, statistical process control and FMEA

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Quality Management experience in all aspects of quality system, including but not limited to:customer and manufacturing representative for quality /complaints and non-conformances/processes and procedures/audits
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to drive improvements (project management / leadership experience)
  • Results oriented with the capability of balancing multiple tasks and priorities

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality in a diverse manufacturing environment 
  • Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering
  • Experience as quality manager.
  • Experience with QMS data base management
