At Molex, we’re a global team of innovators who design and build solutions for companies where data, technology and the complex electronic solutions that enable them are in a constant state of transformation. We manufacture electronic components and application tools at our facility in Bolingbrook and we are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team.

This would serve as an opportunity to grow and develop skills needed to inspect and assemble manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic tooling for connector assembly and inspection. This person will interact directly with internal engineers and project teams needed to assemble finished products and equipment to manufacture high quality Molex products.

 In the list day to day activities, we are willing to train each of these skills, equipment and computer- based applications. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Perform incoming inspection of various products using Keyence equipment
  • Measuring dimensions on the Keyence equipment including punches, anvils and other applicator components
  • Take measurements of components received from our suppliers to insure they meet prints and design specifications
  • Work with engineers on prototype components for new designs
  • In order to remain ISO compliant, we need to ensure that the tools our engineers are using are calibrated on a regular basis (not sure specific timing, possibly once a year)
  • Coordinate visits with the outside supplier and employees to make sure the proper tools are calibrated and update any documentation
  • Understand Application Tooling products and how they interact with each other and using this knowledge to inspect components
  • Learn and apply basic data entry in Quality Management System
  • Perform data entry in SAP for product handling
  • Support of quality and ISO audits
  • Support the quality and safety culture

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Previous experience working in manufacturing or distribution center
    • Experience reading engineering drawings
