We are seeking a Asset Improvement Leader to join our team at our Victoria, TX facility.

The Asset Improvement Leader will be responsible for working with the team to foster a culture of innovative solutions to running, maintain, optimizing and improving the areas assets.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • The Asset Improvement Leader is responsible for leading improvement efforts associated with maintenance planning, prioritization, and risk reduction.
  • Articulate and drive the Operations Vision, creating a shared vision environment, and a culture of Principled Entrepreneurs with a contribution mindset.
  • Lead and mentor employees to apply MBM® in ways that are consistent with our Guiding Principles.
  • Work with operations and review operating logs & statistical analyses to identify equipment reliability issues.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and analyze efficiency and equipment reliability data.
  • Support machine down days, outages and be willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Owns the asset availability database, Process Reliability Model for the RC, and manages unit reporting such that highest value reliability problems are known and reconciled to create value.
  • Identify new equipment strategies that will improve equipment run time vs. equipment run time objectives and reduce unplanned events.
  • Responsible for improving TA scope list, ensuring scopes are complete by freeze dates, and maintains communication to the TA group Execution Coordinator to remove barriers to completion of these jobs.
  • Participate as a member of the Production Area Team (PAT)
  • Lead area Environmental, Health and Safety through a culture that values risk identification and personal ownership
  • Develop key measures to continuously drive improvement of operational excellence
  • Foster an Innovative workplace based on the use of the decision-making framework and the challenge process

The Experience You Will Bring


  • B.S. Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)
  • Minimum of  5 years of petrochemical experience.
  • Experience leading projects, driving programs to implementation, and knowledge on how typical process equipment works.
  • Reliability engineering experience analyzing equipment bad actors to identify system/equipment failure modes using reliability analysis tools (FMEA, RCM, RCA, Reliability Models). Implement solutions.
  • Available for on-call production needs – after hours, weekends and holidays if necessary
