We are currently looking to hire an entry level Controls Engineer for our Tulsa location. This role will learn and work to design, test, commission, and startup a wide variety of electrical and electronic equipment for our manufactured and packaged equipment. This role will work with a wide variety of equipment including motors, valves, actuators, transmitters, emission monitoring equipment, recorders, and programmable logic controllers (PLC). This role will be responsible for programming and altering all types of PLC’s, HMI’s, PID loop controllers, VFD’s, and other control devices. They will also work to develop control systems logic and automation programming for vapor control and pollution control equipment. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Assume overall ownership of assigned projects for control engineering related jobs
  • Perform PLC programming and set up of other components such as HMI, VFD, controllers, and recorders
  • Work with Automation engineering and design
  • Test and commission control systems
  • Assist sales engineers with proposals, cost estimates, and documentation
  • Collaborate with field technicians

    The Experience You Will Bring


    • Experience with PLC programming

    • Experience with HMI programming
    • Willing and able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) within the first six (6) weeks of employment
    • Bachelor's degree or higher Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Controls Engineering 
    • Willing and able to work in an industrial environment on skidded equipment

      What Will Put You Ahead

      • 2+ years’ experience working on all types of industrial, electrical, and electronic equipment including, but not limited to motors, valves, actuators, transmitters, and PLC equipment

      • 2+ years’ experience with electrical and control panel design
      • 2+ years’ experience with NEC &/or NFPA
      • 2+ years’ experience with any of the following PLC platforms: Allen Bradley PLC, Modicon PLC, Triconex PLC, GE Rx3i PLC or Wonderware/Indusoft
      • 2+ years’ experience with Safety Instrumented systems (SIS)
      • Experience designing, specifying, operating, function testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of controls and instrumentation related equipment
