What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Operates and maintains all shop equipment
  • Performs tasks in a safe, responsible manner
  • Reads and interprets blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task
  • Uses precision tools, machines, and equipment such as lathes, milling machine, radial drills, chop saws, bandsaws, and a variety of cutting tools and other shop equipment
  • Fabricate and shape parts such as tools, machine parts out of metal and plastics
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation
  • Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures,
  • cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
  • Performs daily cleaning and regular light maintenance tasks on machinery and
  • equipment
  • Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes and modifications
  • for efficiency and adaptability for setup and production
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Proficient in math
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Three to five years experience
  • Experience working with machine tools or technical assembly
  • Working knowledge of safety protocols
