Module Manager - Hetero Molding

This role is responsible for all inputs, outputs, and other functions in Molding. This will include materials, planning, production, quality, and environmental systems and product quality. Responsible for the vital metrics of the module including cost reduction, spending, headcount, quality improvement and delivery performance. Lead and drive Global Lean Six Sigma projects and advance the facility via leadership and collaboration. Setting fiscal plans and executing to these plans. Responsible for 24/7 manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  1. Utilizing Market Based Management, direct the overall management and coordination of the module to achieve growth and financial objectives; and to provide superior service to our customers.
  2.  Support continuous improvement efforts including Role, Responsibility, Expectation (RRE) development and deployment throughout the operation to achieve objectives.
  3. Primary contact for new program development including both product and process.
  4.  Responsible for development of advanced manufacturing technologies, including design and development of in-house equipment. Design, build, test, and debug equipment. Manage design, build, implementation of new molds.
  5. Review manufacturing operations progress primarily in the key production and quality areas on an ongoing basis and make necessary adjustments to achieve or exceed business objectives and display continuous improvement.
  6.  Support the ongoing management systems certification of the plant by ensuring all applicable policies, procedures and work instructions comply.
  7. Support and drive key manufacturing initiatives in cost reduction, quality improvement, delivery and inventory reduction.
  8.  Support external customer needs to assure product reliability and acceptance. Provide operational support as needed to resolve customer issues and discrepancies.
  9. Ensure support and compliance in the operational objectives as well as other initiatives, RRE’s, policies and procedures.
  10.  Maintain a safe plant working environment and strive for world class housekeeping practices; embrace 6S.
  11. Work with suppliers in continuous quality improvement efforts.
  12.  Monitor production and quality output and apply resources where needed to meet fluid business demands. Maintain flexibility within the manufacturing areas to leverage talents across modules.
  13. Encourage, support and foster an environment of open communication between the production facility and Lisle/ Rochester Hills based resources.
  14.  Promote and support an environment of open communication between the support and production teams in molding.
  15. Identify and justify capital expenditures, maintain managerial spending and aid in fiscal planning of monetary elements.

The Experience You Will Bring


  1. 2-year degree in business/technical area OR 10+ years' related experience
  2. 5+ years' leadership/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  3. Demonstrated experience managing  multiple projects simultaneously 
  4. Effective communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  5. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

What Will Put You Ahead

  1. BS in Engineering or Business
  2. Knowledge of molding processes and new technologies
  3. Process Control Experience
  4. Failure/Root Cause Analysis Skills
