Technical Project Management Group is a project management team that focuses on engineering project management and delivering end to end manufacturing services to all CMS BU products in time, under budget with best quality. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

We are actively seeking a talented and passionate technical project manager, to oversee a wide variety of automation equipment projects from conceptual design through implementation. You will have the chance to network with cross functional team, vendors, internal & external customers, provide capabilities to manage automation line development, validation, and leading efforts to raise our competence in automated manufacturing. The position is based off in Rochester Hill, MI, but you will also collaborate closely with our manufacturing partners in North America, Europe, and other locations in Asia, the key of success is to utilize organization and group processes, set achievable targets, and communicate your expectations, identify and mitigate risks and escalate concerns in a transparent and collaborative way.   • Lead Capex and assembly cost development to provide timely response to RFI/RFQ requests.
  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined the standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact and advisor to internal and external business partners.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage project collaboration tool, report progress, and highlight critical milestones & deliverables to key stakeholders.
  • Manage outside vendors to ensure efficient communications, clearly defined deliverables, and act according to project plan to satisfy customer and project timing.
  • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial).
  • Minimum combined 5 years’ experience in engineering and project management.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable on project and issue tracking tools such as MS Project, Polarion. JIRA.
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are critical to success.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%, including potential international travel.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • PMP certification are highly preferred, or intention to obtain one in near future.
  • MS in engineering preferred.
  • Automotive or tiers experiences are preferred.
  • Experienced in customized equipment vendor management
