Georgia-Pacific OSB is seeking to fill a Material Coordinator position at our Hosford, FL facility. This position adds value by working closely with our team members to fulfill work orders and maintain parts inventory within the plant.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Work in a hot, humid, cold, dirty, and noisy industrial environment, wearing the basic personal protective equipment required for an industrial area
  • Communicate closely with mechanical and electrical Planners to requisition parts for work orders
  • Expedite needed parts during emergency breakdowns
  • Communicate and schedule contractor work as directed by Work Process Meetings
  • Maintain mobile equipment rental plan for maintenance jobs.Schedule delivery and pick-up dates
  • Review needed materials for planned work orders for completeness, work with Planners on any oversites of materials
  • Kit parts and materials for maintenance work using on site stores and received materials
  • Participate in outage preparation by pulling all kits and reviewing with craftsman for scheduled jobs
  • Organize and maintain a clean part kitting area
  • Perform inspections of received items for work orders, critical spares, and rebuilds for inventory using Precision Standards
  • Complete and close work orders daily, scan documents for storing electronically
  • Ensure completed Safety and Environmental work orders are forwarded to the respective department
  • Track parts not used and report to supervision, returning unused parts to stores or vendor
  • Utilize Divisional Workflow Process
  • Utilize MBM® Framework and Guiding Principles in daily work activities
  • Follow any other job-related instructions and performing any other job-related duties as assigned

    The Experience You Will Bring


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • One (1) year of prior experience in an industrial maintenance department

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Five (5) or more years of experience working in an industrial maintenance department
    • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
    • Experience using Microsoft Office and Excel
    • Experience taking precision measures of parts and rebuilds
    • Experience in a purchasing/sourcing department
    • Forklift Certification
