Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Reliability Leader for multiple OSB (oriented strand board) sites. This newly created role will support all OSB sites in Georgia-Pacific’s Wood Products division; with 38 plants across the U.S. and Canada, we are one of the largest wood products manufacturers in North America. We make a wide array of wood products for the construction industry as well as specialty applications, including plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), lumber and particleboard for a variety of uses. The Reliability Leader is responsible for leveraging resources, innovative technologies, and continuous improvement programs to build site leadership capabilities to improve the sites overall asset effectiveness and reliability. The Reliability Leader role is home based and will work with other division resources to lead and support advancements Reliability Continuous Improvements across multiple facilities; requires 75% travel. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Work with site leadership to drive focus on critical assets and develop plans to work towards predictive, precision maintenance
  • Build site capability to develop Preventative Maintenance Optimization plans and focus on single point failures with FMEA’s and tracking PM’s / PDM’s that are reviewed, updated and leveled
  • Work with division team to build standardize outage processes to optimize annual outage management workflow through planning and execution
  • Identify potential cost reductions through extended parts life, reduced labor cost, and other part-related improvement techniques to increase component MTBF
  • Support sites condition monitoring program for identified critical assets
  • Influence Maintenance, Reliability, and Planning leaders through coaching and empowering employees
  • Division support for RCFA process for unplanned events

The Experience You Will Bring


  • 3+ years of reliability experience within an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Experience in leading improvement efforts in Reliability and Predictive and Preventive Maintenance
  • Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools
  • Experience with Annual outage management and capital project management
  • Must be willing and able to meet the physical requirements for the role
  • Computer proficiency for Microsoft products, AutoCAD, CMMS systems, Condition monitoring software
  • Willing and able to travel 75% of the time

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional certification / CMRT
  • MLT-1, Cat 1 and 2 Vibe certification, Ultrasound certification, Thermography Certification
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent large outage management experience
