Business Development Manager (m/f/d) - Candidature for Managing Director

As part of our mid-term succession planning, Julius Montz has identified the need for a Business Development Manager as a potential candidate for our local Managing Director role at Julius Montz in Hilden to join the European organization. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for seeking and identifying new business opportunities that are align with KOCH-GLITSCH goals and long-term plan, and to convert these opportunities into successful wins for the organization. We want to create professional and long-term partnerships with our clients and are looking for those experts that share our passion in providing innovative solutions to the market to solve our customers complex challenge paired with strong technical expertise and business acumen.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Identify, lead and drive new business opportunities that are aligned with the overall Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) strategy and develop short- and long-term strategic business development plans
  • Build and develop strategy plans to grow the business and expand the Julius Montz offerings by adding Services to make us the preferred partner of choice for our global customers
  • Establish a global strategy for the application of Julius Montz equipment and services and develop complete project packages by leveraging the capabilities of Koch-Glitsch and KES
  • Assists the global KES organization to promote the Julius Montz technology in their market segments as well as the coordination of business activities between Julius Montz and Koch-Glitsch/KES organization
  • Develop unique sales and value-added strategies for Julius Montz products and systems by leading our customer-centric departments in the fields of process engineering and sales

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent in process engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar focus (master’s degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience in a similar role as a Sales or Business Development Manager/Director for Chemical Process Equipment and/or complete Process Plants
  • Strong network and knowledge of Chemical market segments, customer base, existing and upcoming related technologies, developing trends and opportunities
  • Team-oriented leadership experience as well as the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Communicative, strong-willed but also empathetic, inspiring and convincing leadership
  • Business fluent in German and English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel to various KES locations and key customers
