Regional Reliability Manager

What You Will Do In Your Role

Driving reliability processes through effective knowledge processes with the operations team:

  • Develop the plant operations personnel
    • Work with the plant leadership teams to develop their knowledge of reliability processes and techniques
    • Provide feedback on the maintenance leader to the plant manager
    • Provide input on potential candidates for leadership positions to support succession planning
    • Provide resources and training for plant teams around reliability fundamentals and operations transformation
  • Mentor reliability and maintenance teams
    • Develop teams to utilize tools like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
    • Advance in-plant maintenance capabilities through precision training and establishment of standards.
  • Support teamwork with the reliability managers in the region and across the company
    • Freely share information to enable the success of others
    • Be open to the information from other regions and external sources to accelerate the learning within the region

Utilize the 8 elements of Operations Excellence, to drive safe and reliable operations, focusing on specifically:

  • Compliance
    • Ensure that reliability activities support the compliance requirements for the region
  • EHS 
    • Consistently drive the message of the importance of safety in the plant 
    • Function as an information resource for safety specifically as it relates to maintenance (e.g. arc flash, LOTO) 
    • Support the challenge process particularly related to EHS to create an environment where concerns can be raised 
  • Reliability 
    • Participate in setting the vision for reliability for the region and priorities for reliability improvements for the plants that you support 
    • Engaged in the Guardian reliability transformation and support the operations team on the plan for execution (Reliability Knowledge, Change Management, Asset Strategies) 
    • Support reliability input for the capital process for float and fabrication operations 
    • Continuously improve the region’s reliability systems to reduce unplanned events 
    • Build relationships with the Operations organizations to improve customer focus and translates their needs into reliability activities

The Experience You Will Bring


  • BS Engineering and/or a proven track record of successfully driving reliability processes in the manufacturing environment
  • Experience in maintenance leadership positions or background reliability fundamentals and maintenance work-flow processes 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional groups 
  • Ability to drive improvements without direct reporting relationships
