Data Analyst, Import Planning

Description

 PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Inventory Analyst should analyze the inventory with the designated supply chain hubs and provide business insights to minimize inventory levels without impacting customer service metrics. He/she will work closely with SCH’s, division, factories, import planners, customer service, supply chain finance to collaborate with Product Manager? and regional teams to optimize inventory investments and drive bottom line benefits and meet expected service levels.  

What You Will Do In Your Role

  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Demand management forecasting review and highlight gaps to S&OP team for approval/correction • Review demand/consumption analysis and propose planning strategy • Analysis of inventory movements on month-on-month (or ad hoc e.g. daily or weekly reviews) basis and check on parts which have deviated from previous trends • Slow & Excess (S&E) as well as Future/Potential S&E, Goods In Transit (GIT) Inventory comparison from month to month (or ad hoc analysis). Same applies for other SCH inventory categories e.g. Customer Consignment stock (Internal + External) – Quality Inspection Hold and Quality Blocked inventory. Support GSOP/Division DSI and IQR inventory metrics, reporting and improvements. Support possible Phase in / Phase out projects (e.g. New Product Introduction, or Product Transfer(s) with data/analytics support and proposals. • Proactive and reactive analysis and interpretation from reporting to support business • strategy and planning • To support the allocation process in cooperation with relevant stakeholders. • Monitor key performance indicators and take appropriate actions required to meet set targets. • Establish and document report data formatting, delivery methods, and maintenance procedures. • • To work on allocation and replenishment parts • Support the periodic review of inventory strategies and demand planning selection • Support continuous improvement processes and automation projects • Review the safety stock and VSF load (forecast) as suggested by S&OP and will challenge S&OP teams when suggestions are not in line with actual numbers. • Undertake other duties as requested by Management, which within the competence of the Post Holder • Manage slow and excess or obsolete material (including e.g. Service Parts and possible Version change, replacement products phase in/phase out). • Provides data, analysis, reports, etc. to management / SCOE / SCH team members as requested • Provide training to trainees and to the set expectations • Participate and Contribute to the development of GSC CoE with creative and innovative ideas

Requirements:

  SKILLS & ABILITIES: REQUIRED: • Be self-assured and an organized approach as she/he will be expected to work independently in a high-pressure environment. • Good organization skills and the ability to work across different functions and divisions • Proven to be able to apply economic and critical thinking skills within your daily job and have an analytical mindset with data mining capabilities. • Entrepreneurial Spirit with strong analytical, forecasting, problem solving and detail orientation • Previous MRP software experience, SAP ECC/Business Warehouse • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good listener • Very good SAP and Excel knowledge is required • Good Presentation skills & cross-cultural traits. • Ability to travel as needed PREFERRED: • Detail Oriented, able to anticipate problems and diffuse situations. • A self-motivated individual who can successfully manage and prioritize own workload with minimal supervision

EDUCATION: REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain or related field • Ability to write and communicate in English Language effectively. PREFERRED: • Certification in Supply Chain Management and familiar with terms in Inventory Management and Lean principles (example APICS CPIM) WORK EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: • 3+ years of experience in global planning, inventory management, forecasting, scheduling requirement and inventory analysis in an SAP environment. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. PREFERRED: • Hands on experience with analytic tools e.g. Tableau, VBA, SQL & Power BI etc. • Ability to work in shifts as required
