New Business Development Leader, Nylon Intermediates

The Heavy Denier Industrial Nylon Business Development Leader will be responsible for developing strategies and execution. This person will align with INVISTA vision and strategy and take ownership for development, framing, alignment, and communication of growth strategies. This Business Development Leader will be looking to identify specific market opportunities to grow the size of the Nylon 6,6 or ADN-based market.

This person will start by developing a point of view of the heavy denier industrial nylon market.

In order to be successful in this role, this leader must have intellectual curiosity and have the capability to frame business development opportunities through futuristic thinking and thinking about what is possible. This person should have a strong passion to transform the industry and use of Nylon 6,6 or ADN based offerings. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop a shared vision; define how INVISTA creates value in the market; guide decision making and effective action; and create the conditions necessary to change
  • Identify growth opportunities that maximize the long-term value of our ADN competitive advantage in the industrial nylon market; provide opportunities for investments, channel opportunities to improve our capability, route to market or M&A opportunities
  • Develop and establish disciplined, best-in-class commercial processes to execute on growth strategies and deliver impactful business results
  • Frame opportunities with clear value propositions, resources needed, and capabilities required
  • Partner with Corporate Development teams to discuss ongoing demands and where we can extend our business 
  • Leverage partnerships to find growth opportunities; suppliers, downstream partners, conferences, learning opportunities on verticals and industry
  • Develop strong relationships with and collaborate with Corporate Development, Marketing, Account Management, Product Development, and R&D leaders within the organization
  • Apply supply and demand fundamentals and perform analysis including cost stacks, value chain profitability, and competitive and capability analysis

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Engineering
  • Experience with decision framing and creating value propositions for growth opportunities
  • Engaging with Senior and Executive level internally and externally
  • Previous Commercial Development, Market Development, Marketing, Business Development or Consulting roles
  • Experience with fibers
