Flint Hills Resources is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Technical Center team. In this role, you’ll work to support the Technical Center laboratory upkeep along with supporting laboratory activities facilitated by Chemists and Microbiologist within the Technical Center. We’re looking for someone who is a self-starter and can work independently and can respectfully challenge status quo.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Shipping(DOT/IATA) and Receiving along with unpackaging and organizing incoming samples
  • Hazardous Waste Management (RCRA/DOT)
  • Laboratory housekeeping: dishes, bulk solvent refill
  • Stock room inventory and chemical inventory
  • Assisting Chemists and Microbiologists with laboratory experiments
  • Executing simple analytical test methods

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Forklift certified
