Our Georgia-Pacific facility in Pennington, AL is seeking candidates who are interested in entry-level production opportunities. These positions are full time and offer a competitive benefit package, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, 401k, and vacation.

You will have an opportunity to work in our Converting Department running products to customer specifications, setting up orders on machines, performing basic preventative maintenance on the machines, conducting required quality checks operating a lift truck, loading and unloading product and delivering vitals to various areas within the mill. Or in our Distribution department operating a lift truck, loading, and unloading product and delivering vitals to various areas within the mill.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Operating equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Operating a lift truck
  • Adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Inspecting product to confirm quality measures are met
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work area throughout shift to ensure a safe and orderly work environment

The Experience You Will Bring


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of manufacturing, industrial production or construction experience
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day
  • Willing and able to work eight (8) hour rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environment
  • Willing and able work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances
  • Experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, farm/ranch or military environment 
  • Experience using a computer for recordkeeping and/or data entry functions

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Two (2) years or more of experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or warehouse environment
  • Experience operating material handling equipment, e.g.: hand trucks, pallet jacks, and/or forklifts
