Trade & Compliance Analyst (m/f/d)

Description

Due to the economic growth of our company, we are looking for a Trade & Compliance Analyst to join our organization in Germany (Ettlingen or Bochum) as soon as possible. As a Trade & Compliance Analyst you will be part of our EMEA Trade Compliance team, responsible for various import and export related functions and developing efficient trade procedures together with us according to governmental rules and regulations. Furthermore, as the responsible contact person in the area of customs approvals, you will ensure compliance and train our staff in the relevant topics.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Initiation and support for projects within the EMEA Trade Compliance Team in Auditing, Export Control, Total Quality Management, and building and customizing corporate policies to continuously improve and maintain customs privileges
  • Responsible contact person in the field of customs permits (AEO, ZE, ZA) to customs authorities and the employees to secure them
  • Export Control Classification and Commodity Code Classification of our goods in coordination with our colleagues in the departments of development, production and quality
  • Procurement and issuing of long-term supplier declarations as well as the examination of supply chains on the basis of preferential documents
  • Preparation of binding tariff information and supplementary customs declarations for the divisions
  • Support and implementation of internal audits and trainings in the area of customs, foreign trade and related IT

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or comparable administrative training with a focus on import / export and customs processes
  • Several years of professional experience in an internationally operating company or a logistics service provider with a focus on import/export as well as export regulations
  • Experience in Commodity Code Classification (Chapters 39, 73, 74.75, 76, 79, 82, 84, 85, 90) and Export Control Classification of goods
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package as well as the SAP modules SAP R/3 and GTS
  • Extensive entrepreneurial and process-oriented thinking, comprehensive analytical skills as well as didactic and communicative skills
  • Self-responsible, independent and reliable working methods as well as the ability to work in a team
  • Business fluent in German and English (further language skills would be an advantage)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
