Maintenance Technician
Description
Georgia-Pacific is now hiring for a Maintenance Technician to work a their packaging facility in San Leandro, CA.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in GP's safety program
- Meeting or exceeding production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems and repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
- Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts and couplings
- Reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Using micrometers, calipers, tachometers and dial indicators
- Completing mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance activities
- Working in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility, working mutiple shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years' of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience working with conveyors and gear boxes
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience using systems for preventative maintenance
- Predictive maintenance tools (i.e. laser alignment tool, and vibration monitors) experience
