Sr Engineer, Opto-Mechanical

Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

1.Provide new product solution and development. 

2.Product integration to cover key component design/selection, assembly process and testing.

What You Will Do In Your Role

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review customer specification and product datasheet to generate product solution.
  2. Release and update design document (BOM, DFMEA, EVT, DVT plan/result)
  3. Lead design review meeting and make final decisions on all technical related matters from R&D to manufacturing including the process improvement.
  4. Lead product integration to cover key component design/selection, assembly process and testing to meet customer/product requirement.
  5. Monitor and lead related team members to improve production process, yield and perform failure analysis.
  6. Coordinate with PGM/PLM to complete engineering tasks on schedule and control the project process.
  7. Take other related duties as assigned by functional manager and the relevant manpower management.

SCOPE:

Take responsible to manage cross-functional technical expertise and come up design solution to meet customer/product requirement. The job focuses on new product design/integration, failure analysis and yield improvement during new product introduction until launch mass production.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

EDUCATION: 

REQUIRED: 

1.Master degree or equivalent. 

2.Major in Electrical, Physics or Optics. 

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

REQUIRED: 

1.At least 5 years’ experience in active (transmitter and receiver) module design and process development experience. 

2.Familiar with transceiver/OSA characterization and testing setups 

PREFERRED: 

1.Has experience in thermal mechanical tool such as Ansys 

2.Has experience in optical design tool such as ZEMAX 

3.Familiar with MSA and IEEE standard 

SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

REQUIRED: 

1.Have ability to design and characterize product independently. 

2.Have ability to identify/lead to solve technical issues in design and NPI phase independently 

3.Good ability for data analysis. 

4.Good interpersonal skills and leadership. 

5.Good communication skills in both Chinese and English. 

6.Good teamwork, ownership, initiative, with a sense of urgency. 

PREFERRED: 

1.Have knowledge on Telcordia quality requirement 

2.Have knowledge on data statistics and analysis
