Sr. Marketing Effectiveness Manager

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Effectiveness Manager to support the Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose division. This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

The Senior Marketing Effectiveness Manager is responsible for driving research-based strategy and go-to-market activation. This position identifies customer pain points and needs through voice of the customer work and translates that into actionable initiatives for the marketing organization. Through competitive landscape research and relevant benchmark data, this person will form data-centric activation plans with measurable goals and KPIs identified. The plans will outline knowledge gaps within marketing channels and have learning plans to close these gaps. As a result, the customer experience with our products and solutions should continue to grow favorably. This position will work very closely with Marketing team members, Sales teams and Insights group.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Act as market research lead for the marketing team focused on providing strategic recommendations to the business and filling knowledge gaps on activations plans and channels
  • Conversant with research methodologies, adept at leading research initiatives including voice of the customer
  • Own the voice of the customer and competitive landscape research and effectively communicate results to business presidents and segment leaders
  • Maintain organizational knowledge of the market, competitive trends, and industry developments
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to identify and bring innovative custom research approaches to better shape campaigns and tactics
  • Work closely with the insights organization to translate exploratory and blue ocean ideas into marketing programs
  • Monitor and manage marketing research programs within budget

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of proven work experience in marketing or strategy
    • Knowledge of research fundamentals and best practices
    • Experience working in a matrix-oriented environment
    • Knowledge of marketing funnel tactics and channels

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Advanced degree in business, marketing or other related fields
    • Experience with proactively pulling research and trend data to influence marketing strategy
    • Proficient in building activation plans across products, solutions and segments
