Description

Responsible for creating and implementing the sales and relationship strategy for our customers. The Business Manager-service will develop new opportunities, manage the overall service-account relationship, coordinate with the OEM business manager for products moving to postproduction with the specific goal of profitable, sustainable growth. This position reports to the Business Director.

The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker. This is a “hands-on” position that will work across the organization in a competitive atmosphere. Working effectively with cross-functional teams is crucial for success

What You Will Do In Your Role

Customer Strategy

  • Work with the OEM customer service groups to ensure contracts are established in a timely fashion and accurate to quotations
  • Utilize corporate resources and external sources to perform market analysis regarding vehicle production and use this analysis as the foundation of customer strategy and profit improvement targeting
  • Lead the account profitability analysis activity to ensure sustainable account financial performance

Relationship Management

  • Manage the overall service customer relationship and be responsible to deepen customer relationships in aftermarket purchasing, engineering, styling, and other relevant customer functions
  • Pursue new opportunities and communicate with customers on existing and future programs

Account Coordination

  • Negotiate and implement pricing for customer programs
  • Contract review of existing business to ensure specific terms are included such as packaging, setup charges etc.
  • Coordinate with global counterparts on the development and implementation of the customer/product strategy for aftermarket service
  • Interact with management team and manufacturing operations on cost and pricing issues
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing facilities to resolve open issues relating to normal business activities

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or marketing
  • At least 1-2 years of experience, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Demonstrated technical competence
  • Manage/profitably grow the service book of the assigned Business Unit
  • Manages the Customer RFQ portals
  • Learn the Business Manager Service role from an assigned Business Manager
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships at all levels and departments
  • Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude and a strong desire to win
  • Highly organized, systematic approach to work
  • Professional and high integrity presence
