Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsible for the mechanical design and development of new High Performance EMI Cage Assembly products.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Design and develop new products and product components
- Design and develop new manufacturing processes
- Develop work instructions for production
- Support marketing/sales with product proposals, samples and technical literature
- Support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance
- Participates in design review meetings
- Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures

- Scope
- Detailed design level decisions are made by this person.
- This person works independently or in teams on projects assigned by his engineering manager.
- Status and schedule are reviewed by his engineering manager.Design review(s) are held with the entire project team.
- This person shall lead team to solve the specific engineering issues as needed.
- The focus of this position is to deliver new designs on schedule.The schedule impacts the global business unit team from marketing, materials, operations, quality, manufacturing, and customer deadlines.
- The tasks in job are highly complex.The person must be creative, and solve difficult problems
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years design experience.
- 3D modeling and 2D drawing experience
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience with sheet metal and plastic components, die casting
