If so, check out what we have to offer! Guardian Glass in Chicago, IL has an immediate need for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

·Carries out daily work orders supplied by the Maintenance Manager and the PS

·Performs mechanical and electrical repairs as needed and makes any necessary repairs to the facility as directed by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor

·Troubleshoots problems on the Production Line, during and/or after production hours, and makes repairs as required to ensure continued safe operation

·Makes rounds on the floor to inspect performance of all machinery and make repairs if needed

·Gives support to all the technicians/Operators for all areas if/when necessary

·Ensures that all equipment is shut off when the plant is shut down for a long weekend

·Adheres to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in the safety program

·Performs predictive precision maintenance to identify and correct mechanical/electrical defects before machines fail

·Fabricates various elements according to simple and complex drawings and specifications provided by the Maintenance Manager

·Make quick, accurate repairs to machinery and/or work with an outside contractor as directed by the Maintenance Manager

·Willing to work any, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed

What Will You Need?

Basic Job Requirements:

·Associates or Bachelors’ degree with two (2) years of related mechanical/electrical experience -OR- at least five (5) years of on-the-job training and experience

·Three (3) years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician working with mechanical and electrical equipment, power distribution panels, AC and DC equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, compressors and heating and cooling units

·Three (3) years’ experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical drawings, schemes, and procedure manuals
