What You Will Do In Your Role

In this role, an estimate of 80-90% of work time will be in the shop, and 10-20% of work time will be assisting with other millwright-based maintenance activities. Typical repairs would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines, body components, hydraulics, brakes & air systems, electrical, undercarriage & suspension systems, wheel end components, wheels, and tires Candidates must be able to manage a changing work load driven by mill production needs. Maintenance employees are expected to assist with other maintenance crafts as needed to support major equipment outages. Additionally, maintenance employees are expected to be proficient in more than one trade. If upon hire an individual is not proficient in more than one trade it is expected that the individual will become proficient in at least two recognized trades.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Associates or Technical degree or higher in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technology or other mechanical field earned within the past five (5) years or had continuous employment in these trades since degree was achieved
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in machinery diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical systems 12V -24V, fuel systems, Heavy Equipment brake systems, & basic tire repair.

  • 1 year experience conducting preventative and corrective maintenance of Heavy Industrial equipment.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Industrial maintenance experience.
  • Heavy equipment operating experience.
  • Caterpillar ET Experience

  • Valid CDL and Medical card or the ability to obtain.

  • Experience with mobile cranes, Track Type Equipment, Generator Sets, Dump Trucks, Structural Welding, Cutting Torch.
