Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Bradford, PA. GP is one of the nation's leading corrugated box manufacturers. Bradford, PA is located at the foothills of the Allegheny National Forest. The facility operates a corrugator and has an impressive array of finishing equipment, including flexos and die cutters to provide the widest range of corrugated packaging today. We manufacture corrugated sheets from linerboard and medium and then cut, print and fold these sheets to produce corrugated boxes and trays for our various customers.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Being a safety steward to prioritize zero incidents in Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Accountability for employee development plans and people management strategies
  • Exhibiting strong leadership skills to motivate and develop a team of hourly employees to continuously improve performance of the individual employees and overall business
  • Demonstrating functional leadership skills to engage a workforce with a diverse background of knowledge and experience
  • Fostering and developing a culture based on our Market Based Management (MBM®) philosophy
  • Demonstrating strong functional knowledge of maintaining equipment used in the paper manufacturing process
  • Planning and scheduling preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Collaborating across roles, gathering, and sharing feedback
  • Create a culture that drives ownership and continuous improvement
  • Develop technical competency of his/her team
  • Maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations to including wearing safety equipment 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to stop, kneel and bend 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Three (3) years or more of manufacturing, industrial, or military supervisory experience
  • One (1) year or more of experience with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and PC-based production and maintenance reporting systems applications
  • One (1) year or more of experience in leading improvement efforts in reliability and predictive and preventive maintenance
  • Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools
  • Work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and work on-call/call-in hours for maintenance issues
  • Experience in a union environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associates degree or higher in Industrial Technology or Engineering
  • Experience with MP2 computer-based maintenance reporting system
  • Knowledge of PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot electrical problems
  • Experience reading mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings
