Business Development Manager-Connected Enterprise Solutions

Description

This individual reports to the Regional Sales Director (RSD) and is accountable for the growth of CoreSync (smart building technology) business in the Americas, serving as the customer relationship owner. Performance of the role will be measured by sales revenue and gross margin against assigned targets. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will work independently and with Regional Infrastructure BDMs, as appropriate, to coordinate activities and mutually increase sales revenue and market share.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Deliver CoreSync revenue and gross margin as assigned by the Leadership Team
    • Create and deliver Sales and Marketing Plan for the assigned area
    • Identify CoreSync opportunities, engage with decision makers and close sales
    • Maintain CRM system and report on the main opportunities, key dates, stakeholders and projects status.
  • Expand the CoreSync Channel of Distributors and Alliance Partners
    • Prepare Confidentiality and Business Associate Agreements for signature
    • Provide ongoing communication and support
  • Partner with Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions (CES) Infrastructure BDMs in order to increase market share and identify opportunities for joint engagement.
    • Educate Infrastructure BDMs on latest developments and key details about CoreSync and project pipeline
  • Respond to basic technical questions that arise during customer engagements
    • Provide data sheets, specifications, and standards documents
    • Demonstrate the basic functions of the CoreSync platform
    • Hand off to other team members as appropriate
  • Cultivate relationships with Smart Building Luminaire, Sensor and Control manufacturers
    • Prepare Confidentiality and CoreSync Business Alliance Agreements for signature
    • Provide ongoing communication and support
  • Contribute to CoreSync and CES Go-To-Market planning
  • Partner with Marketing Team to develop and maintain CoreSync Marketing Plan
    • Participate in Trade Shows as a Subject Matter Expert and Spokesperson
    • Serve as an advocate and point of contact for Case Studies

    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements:

    • Thorough understanding of the Digital/Smart Building industry
    • Demonstrated success in capturing business in the Smart Building and/or LED Lighting industry
    • Leadership skills to organize a team of peers to respond to bids and sales opportunities
    • Experienced with presenting to large groups
    • Willingness to travel up to 50% of workdays
