·Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, or related field.
·7+ years of hands-on SQL Server and Oracle.
·4+ years of hands-on administration experience in Cloud-technology databases, including AWS RDS databases, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redshift.
·SQL programming and performance tuning.
·Proven track record managing SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 instances in a Standalone and Clustered configuration
·Proven ability to administer large databases in a mission critical environment.
·Understanding & experience of database and storage design and best practices for AWS and on-prem.
·Familiarity with different database technology high availability solutions.
·Experience with different backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions for various DB platforms.
·Experience managing customer engagement.
·Must be willing to carry a company-provided smart phone, have home high-speed Internet, and may participate in a 24x7 on call rotation. Must be open to shifts based on the customer requirements
·Experience with:
oPosgreSQL or MySQL administration experience
oAWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platforms
oHadoop, Amazon EMR, HANA, Cassandra
oAWS Lambda scripting
oDatabases in Docker, AWS ECS containers
oSQL Server SSIS, SSAS, SSRS components
oOracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers
·Expertise coding with Power Shell and Korn shell scripting languages
·Familiarity with AWS components including EC2, S3, EBS, Glacier, and snowflake.
·Solid experience and troubleshooting skills with Windows 2008/2008R2, Windows 2012/2012R2, Windows 2016, HPUX, and Linux operating systems
·Knowledge and experience with computer hardware including servers, networks, SAN technologies, I/O subsystems, etc. Previous consulting experience.
