Logistics Coordinator

Description

Works in transportation or warehousing of goods. Processes orders and oversees cycle of order fulfilment. Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Facilitate the shipping of products (GENERAL CARGO – PROJECT CARGOES) from one destination to another
  • Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer (internal/external) demand with little to no delay
  • Coordinates delivery for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepares necessary shipping documents or perform any administrative function related to Shipping & Logistics
  • Understanding L/C requirements and INCOTERMS principles
  • Takes steps to avoid quality control issues
  • Ensure operational execution is at an optimal level
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
  • Oversees Freight Forwarder performance and perform quarterly assessment
  • Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, to keep costs down where possible
  • Streamlines shipping and transportation processes
  • Join in project kick off meetings and lead discussion where necessary to fulfill Logistical agendas
  • Upkeep of all documentation on a monthly basis & prepare monthly reports
  • All other duties assigned by Supervisor

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Diploma in any field
  • Experience in Logistics Management  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team  

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 3 years’ of relevant experience in Logistics and Freight forwarding industry
  • Understanding of Logistics Engineering will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Great multitasker and problem-solver, with good organizational skills and procedural mindset
  • Ability to prioritize and attentive to data and details
  • Well versed in negotiation skills and management ability
