Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT) is looking to add a Director of Engagement to their team. This person needs to be a data-driven relationship professional with an eye on knowledge systems and originating top deals and talent. This cross-functional role is designed to build and maintain high quality relationships with KDT’s top partners and influencers. This role will develop a framework and enable KDT to build long-term strategic relationships with current and new partners, as well as identify their unique needs and how they can best be served. This person will become a trusted advisor to internal and external leaders, helping everyone achieve a shared vision. This role will formalize and own origination systems, develop trusted relationships with top contacts, and innovate around data-driven decisions. He/she will also work with our digital marketing team on communications.

This role is open to candidates sitting in Wichita, Dallas, Atlanta, Denver, or Chicago. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop a strategy to engage and manage KDT's network of top contacts; prioritizing highest value relationships, driving partner engagement, and building excitement among existing partners through data and engagement
  • Develop a relationship / network framework that:
    • Identifies top partners
    • Prioritizes best partners
    • Identifies and defines goals / objectives for relationship
    • Develops strategy for relationship
    • Measures strength of relationship
  • Own origination systems (Dynamics 365, etc.) and best practices
    • Gather feedback from all capabilities (origination, diligence, labs) 
    • Create and track measurables 
    • Make updates/changes as necessary
  • Add value/improve existing network 
    • "White glove" program for our top relationships and people 
    • Map existing relationship to the appropriate internal people
    • Surface valuable information and connections through data-driven analysis
  • Assist in building robust origination network that identifies top deals, talent, and knowledge
  • Plan and execute both virtual and in-person events that drive meaningful origination and connections
  • Work with digital marketing team to build communication strategy to partners and entrepreneurs, leveraging various channels and social sites
  • Ensure a best-in-class Client Experience for KDT partners

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing origination networks and relationship/client engagement strategies and systems 
  • Demonstrated experience originating world-class investment opportunities, talent, and managing the relationship network 
  • Experience utilizing and presenting data to influence business decisions
  • Experience managing a large number of high-profile clients or influencers
  • Experience developing a framework for how to leverage data and analytics to measure relational success
  • Experience with CRM or similar systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Background in investing and/or venture capital
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies and communications or work with associated teams
  • Experience working with human resources and talent management solutions

This role is eligible for variable pay based on performance and other related factors. Variable pay may be issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. 

Employees may be eligible to participate in our benefits programs which include: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts, life insurance, AD&D, disability, retirement, paid vacation, paid parental leave and educational assistance. Specific eligibility criteria is set by the applicable Summary Plan Description, policy or guideline.

For this position we anticipate paying $120,000 to $165,000 per year.
