Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to be part of the Global Fiber Sourcing & Trading organization. This person will be responsible for managing the supply chain of vital raw materials to consumer products mills. This role reports to the Director – Global Fiber Sourcing & Trading.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Apply economic thinking skills to develop data-based points of view using internal and external benchmarking that allow Georgia-Pacific to make informed supply chain and sourcing decisions. Communicate those points of view effectively to both Georgia-Pacific’s operating facilities and its international vendors.
- Working with and through cross-functional teams (local manufacturing, operations teams, business analytics, IT, etc.) to manage the raw material supply chain and develop tools that create long-term value
- Hold self and others accountable to contribute to overall product plan deliverables in a timely and proactive manner
- Apply a customer focus mentality to proactively anticipate internal customers’ needs
- Demonstrate the ability to be a life-long learner to develop ideas to drive continuous improvement and innovation in work methods and/or work products
- Embrace and utilize new technology to advance work methods and/or work products
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Relevant work experience in Purchasing/Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain
- Microsoft Excel skills to include v-lookups and pivot tables
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business analytics, finance, or related business field
- 2+ years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or customer service
- Experience leading and/or managing projects
- Experience managing inventory levels, logistics providers, and demand/supply balances
- Experience with ERP systems and other platforms such as SAP, INFOR, AssetSuite, Ariba
- Experience with change management to include the ability to understand business requirements, demonstrate the ability to understand multiple and diverse stakeholder groups and implement changes
- Basic knowledge of procure-to-pay process,
- Basic understanding of CPG mill operations and S&OP
