Project Manager (m/f/d) Automotive Engineering

Description

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our organization in Hildesheim to drive one of our well-known OEM customers in the automotive industry. As a Project Manager you will be part of our local project management team and will be responsible for the optimal execution of our development projects up to series production. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for developing innovative solutions for the market to solve our customers' complex challenges, combined with strong technical expertise and business acumen.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Definition and planning of project milestones in close cooperation with the customer as well as the coordination of activities within the engineering, quality, supply chain/logistics and production departments in the phases of product development and implementation
  • Assurance and monitoring of project progress in terms of budget, costs, quality as well as adherence to deadlines and milestones
  • Responsibility for internal and external communication of development statuses as well as technical representation of the various departments to our customers
  • Creation and presentation of technical reports and specifications to our customers and internal departments
  • Drive of sample series at our international production plants (especially China and Mexico)

The Experience You Will Bring

  • University degree in electrical/communications engineering or a comparable field with an electrotechnical focus
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position in the automotive environment with an electronic focus as well as in the development of electrotechnical products
  • Proven certification in project management (IPMA) is an plus
  • Very good project management skills as well as associated moderation and leadership skills
  • Very good communication skills as well as experience in working with international and interdisciplinary teams, partners and customers
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English
  • Willingness to travel to our customers and production plants
