Dixie® Consumer Products LLC, a division of Georgia-Pacific Corporation, is seeking a Production Group Leader for our Darlington, SC Pressware facility. The Group Leader will provide expertise and leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance, quality, cost and reliability. The position will establish and reinforce the importance of applying our management philosophy to continue Darlington’s transformation into a world class manufacturer and distributor of Consumer Products. This position creates value by providing leadership and team skill-development to all mechanical operators. What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead and establish a skill development plan for the team of production mechanics; develop mechanical and troubleshooting capability within the team
  • Lead situation appraisals and Root Cause Analysis for functional teams; take ownership of daily reporting on production, quality, and reliability
  • Coach mechanics and operators on performance related items related to safety, production, floor issues, etc.
  • Work with drivers to ensure accuracy in product retrieval and placement

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Three (3) or more years of manufacturing mechanical experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willing and able to work any shift (including 12-hour rotating shift), holidays, weekends and overtime
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, noisy and high-volume machine production area
  • Possess basic knowledge of hand/power tools 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience working independently with functional guidance rather than direct assignments
  • One (1) or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating, maintaining and performing routine maintenance repairs
