Currency Control Specialist for Russia

Description

The Currency Control Specialist will be reporting directly to P2P Team Leader and will be working closely with the P2P team and Russian Operations Team.This is 18-month contract with the option of extension.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Currency control for Russian Guardian companies in compliance with Russian currency control legislation andthe deadlines
  • Timely processing and submission of documents of the Customs Union countries
  • Reliable and efficient communication with the banks regarding documents and payments
  • Regular control of payment terms from counterparties & between intercompany
  • Proactive management of discrepancies between the bank and Guardian accounting
  • Receive and review invoices and/or other documentation for completeness and compliance with defined policies and procedures
  • Code, verify and process invoices according to defined policies and procedures in ERP systems
  • Ensure that internal and external queries are accurately resolved in a timely manner
  • Perform currency control before payments and coordination during month (Russia law requirements based on 173- Federal Law & 181-Instruction of the Russian Central bank)
  • Prepare balance confirmations for suppliers
  • Interact with the Tax team for VAT related purposes and with the Central Accounting team for audit and statutory account information
  • Actively participate with the team to contribute to process improvements
  • Document the knowledge
  • Training of other team members 


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Fluent in English and Russian
  • Russia Currency Control knowledge – can be gained via studying 173 FL & 181-I if fluent in Russian
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Account Receivable fields
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bookkeeping competency
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal listening and written communication
  • Attention to details and high level of accuracy
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet and word processing programs, and email at a highly proficient level
