As a member of the Platform Development team, you will join a diverse group of Hardware, FPGA, Firmware, Mechanical and PCB designers bringing the technical knowledge necessary to create class leading products for use in the revolution of industrial automation solutions.

The products delivered by Molex are getting faster, denser, smarter, and more complex with every evolution. In this role, the Sr. PCB Designer will contribute in the developing, delivering and implementing of high speed and mixed signal board designs.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Working closely with hardware and mechanical designers to design and implement mixed signal printed circuit boards.
  • Addressing DFA/DFT/DFM (Design for Assembly/Test/Manufacturing) requirements related to PCB and PCBA
  • Perform mechanical compliance checks with 3D CAD (direct asset)
  • Perform and review signal integrity analysis (pre and post layout)
  • Perform timing, power and thermal analysis on
  • Participate in peer reviews for PCB’s and Schematic designs

    The Experience You Will Bring


    • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electronics Technologist with 7+ years of relevant PCB design experience
    • Experience with mixed signal and high-speed digital design
    • Hands on experience with CAD tools including Schematic capture, PCB, Signal Integrity and Timing Analysis (Cadence Allegro tool set knowledge is an asset)
    • Electronic component packaging technologies related to footprint design component layout guidelines and requirements
    • Familiarity with the IPC, IEEE and JEDEC Electronic Industry design standards
    • Experience with current PCB manufacturer and PCBA contract manufacturer capabilities in relation to design decisions and production solutions
    • Ability to solve problems and proficiently communicate between Hardware designers and contract manufacturers to viable solutions
    • Knowledge of regulatory and environmental compliance thru design techniques using Signal Integrity (PRE and POST), Propagation Delay techniques and design constraint management with ECAD tools
