We are looking for two high calibre placement students, keen to work in a global multidisciplinary environment, to join the Gloucester Performance Fibres Team in Summer 2021 for 12 months.
What You Will Do In Your Role
Successful applicants can expect to shape their placement, undertaking projects according to their interests, skill set and business needs.
Previous interns projects have included:
- Advancing digitization strategies to modernize manufacturing processes across Asian, European and North American facilities. Employing emerging technologies in autonomous systems, analytics and robotics; such as camera/image analysis, co-bots, Raspberry Pi type technologies and microcontrollers.
- Applying cutting edge data analytics to dictate optimized process parameters, performing design of experiment studies to verify statistical models.
- Design, development and installation of an automated transport system involving elements of engineering drawing, interacting with contractors and financial project assessments
Successful applicants will be supported by their supervisor, the operations team, the Koch Market Based Management culture and opportunities for industrial training to propel forward their own professional development.
The Experience You Will Bring
Applicants should be studying towards a STEM degree and will be proactive, curious and show eagerness to learn in all situations. They will be adept at operating outside of their comfort zones and apply economic and critical thinking to identify value adding activities and process improvements.
