Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Tax Manager to join a dynamic tax team in the Wichita, KS office. Experience a tax career with more freedom to optimize value and achieve your goals. What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Maintain and effectively communicate tax positions and attributes to key stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects and communicate results to the team and leadership 
  • Partner with an internal Compliance Capability on US income tax returns including Forms 1120, 1065, 8858, and 5471
  • Partner with internal and external capabilities to manage other jurisdictional filings for both direct and indirect taxes
  • Manage transfer pricing studies, as needed
  • Knowledge share with peers and analysts to help facilitate team development
  • Update projections based on business forecasts and review quarterly tax accounting submissions 
  • Build and develop relationships across the Koch companies to understand and optimize the various business tax positions
  • Research tax impacts and determine required disclosures related to transactions 
  • Drive innovation and transformation within the tax organization
  • Analyze legislative changes and communicate impacts to key stakeholders

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Taxation or a JD
  •  4+ years’ of experience in a federal corporate income taxation role

What Will Put You Ahead

  • ASC 740, formerly FAS 109, accounting for income taxes experience 
  • CPA firm or large multi-national corporation experience 
  • 2+ years' experience in a supervisory/leadership role 
  • Master's degree in Taxation 
  • Experience working with partnership and/or international tax compliance
