Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company is an end-to-end provider of innovation, development and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device industries. Our Menomonie, Wisconsin location is seeking a Line Coach to support manufacturing of injection molded parts and assembly.

The line coach will manufacture high value medical products that meet and exceed customer expectations by following SOP's and following with strict GDP and GMP requirements. This role will be the main point of contact for all new hires and current employees for training needs. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide training appropriate to assembly: terminology training, and safe drug handling
  • Correctly use appropriate tools and equipment, including assembly equipment and glue machines, and differentiate between good and bad parts using Limit Sample Boards
  • Successfully operate and produce a high value and quality medical device on semi-automated equipment in a work cell
  • Expert knowledge and experience level on technique specialized procedures and Operator instructions
  • Basic knowledge of machine and automation troubleshooting and workstation clearance
  • Successfully utilized automation for acceptance and rejection conditions – poke yoke
  • High level understanding of Performance Metrics for the production line – operational performance standards – utilization, efficiency, output and scrap
  • Participation in Engineering builds and specialized project requests
  • Understanding of materials issuance to the production line, 6S, product segregation and line clearance practices
  • Effectively participate in Customer Visits and Operational Audits
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers
  • Communicate assembly problems, such as excessive rejects to a team leader
  • Communicate important information to operators on next shift
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Pre-plan safety into work activities to improve performance
  • Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Minimum 3 months Medical Manufacturing Experience Required
  • At least one year manufacturing experience (or minimum of 720 hours in an operator role through temporary agency)
  • Basic reading, writing and math; including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to read and understand Operator instructions
  • Must be able to perform to production line standards and high-level quality expectations
  • Must have higher level training and experience in GDP and GMP compliance and expectations
  • Drug Safety Training completion
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be team oriented and self-directing
  • Must have a strong commitment to quality, safety, and communication
  • Must have knowledge of the impact of the work on the environment
