The Advanced Development Center at SRG Global in Taylor, Michigan is searching for a Maintenance Technician with Process Controls experience with a passion for driving continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness

What You Will Do In Your Role

The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker. This is a “hands-on” position that will work across the organization in a competitive atmosphere. Working effectively with cross-functional teams is crucial for success. 

  • Assist in successful maintenance operation of the plating and injection molding process.
  • Capable to trouble shoot machinery, conveyance, automation and facility utilities.
  • Learning equipment, and training of colleagues with the acquired knowledge.
  • Assist in new project installations.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in our equipment and processes.
  • Constantly looking for process improvements, including cycle time reduction, and the improvement of machine efficiency and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain equipment library such as manuals, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics schematics.
  • Work well in a team environment, being flexible to support other departments.
  • Ensure all safety devices are operating properly and not disconnected.
  • Ensure operation standards are always upheld within regulatory compliance.
  • Trouble shoot hoist plating equipment, injection molding presses, controls and facility utilities.
  • Fix and/or replace equipment, water lines, plumbing, pumps, and/or filter systems.
  • Manage large maintenance projects with contractors.
  • Support Program Management launch team, provide continuous improvement on equipment and look for automation opportunities.
  • Perform and develop preventive and predictive maintenance program for production equipment and facility utility equipment.
  • Support daily plating process.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical problem-solving techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of plastics plating and injection molding process.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with vendors and corporate engineering.
  • Interact with technical supplier teams.
  • Manage priorities to meet company goals and initiatives.
  • Work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experienced  mechanical aptitude and ability.
