Georgia-Pacific is looking for a Customer Service Representative for our facility in Albany, GA. This position acts as a primary liaison between our sales team, internal departments and customers to gather and record information into our order entry, change and inventory management systems. Our Customer Service Representatives create value by ensuring accurate orders and deliveries by Georgia-Pacific. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Interact with customers by phone, email and/or in person to receive orders, cancellations, and changes for product or to clarify needs/requirements.
  • Communicate changes, delays, requests, etc. to sales representatives and customers as appropriate.
  • Complete various forms and input information into order entry systems.
  • Interface with other internal departments to facilitate order flow process.
  • Coordinate shipment of product, expediting shipments, arranging pick-up of defective product, etc. with shipping department.
  • Manage sales backlog by reviewing sales and release orders, updating and closing/completing in the system as needed.
  • Coordinate complaints, concerning billing, product or service rendered, referring complaints by interfacing with Quality Assurance and working with appropriate departments to identify root cause and corrective action.
  • Thrive in an environment of continuous change. 

    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 3 year of experience in Customer Service
    • Experience using Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Associates Degree or higher
    • Experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment
    • Experience in the corrugated packaging industry
    • Experience with data management systems/process flow
    • Experience with BVP and/or KIWI
