Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT) is looking to add a Director of Digital Marketing and Relationships to their team in Wichita. This person needs to be a data-driven relationship manager with an eye on business development and capabilities in digital marketing. This cross-functional role is designed to build and maintain high quality relationships with KDT’s top partners and influencers. This role will develop a framework for institutionalizing KDT’s long-term strategic relationships with current and new partners, as well as identify their unique needs and how they can best be served. This person will become a trusted business advisor to internal and external leaders, helping everyone achieve a shared vision. This role will formalize and own origination systems, build communication strategy to partners and entrepreneurs, develop trusted relationships with top contacts, and innovate around data-driven decisions.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop a strategy to institutionalize and manage KDT’s network of top contacts; prioritizing highest value relationships, driving partner engagement, and retaining loyalty among existing partners through data and engagement
  • Develop a relationship / network framework that:
    • Identifies top partners
    • Prioritizes best partners
    • Identifies and defines goals / objectives for relationship
    • Develops strategy for relationship
    • Measures strength of relationship
    • Reevaluates relationship
  • Own origination systems (Dynamics 365, etc.) and best practices
    • Gather feedback from all capabilities (origination, diligence, labs) 
    • Create and track measurables 
    • Make updates/changes as necessary
  • Build communication strategy to partners and entrepreneurs 
    • Work with Koch communications on public relations 
    • Own communications to Tier 1-3 contacts through various channels
    • Leverage social sites and other public sources to brand and communicate
  • Plan and execute founder, CEO, and thought leader events—both online an in-person--sponsored by KDT
  • Add value/improve existing network 
    • White glove with our top relationships and people 
    • Map existing relationship to the appropriate people
    • Surface valuable information and connections through data-driven analysis
  • Research founders, startups, emerging tech prior to high level meetings for the KDT Leadership Team
  • Ensure a best-in-class Client Experience for KDT partners

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, relationship management, and/or client engagement
  • Demonstrated experience implementing digital initiatives that scale to support the requirements of a growing organization or relationship network
  • Experience utilizing and presenting data to influence business decisions
  • Experience managing a large number of high-profile clients or influencers
  • Experience developing a framework for how to leverage data and analytics to measure relational success
  • Experience with CRM or similar systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Background in investing and/or venture capital
  • Experience creating communication and relationship frameworks around new knowledge systems
