For our  Thalheim location, we are looking to hire a Warehouse Manager (m/f/d) for a 1 year temporary contract.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Operational management of the warehouse, including disciplinary & professional management of the warehouse staff (day shift and shift operation) to ensure the highest level of customer service for internal and external customers while maintaining an efficient, safe, and clean warehouse.
  • Organisational planning & control of warehouse processes (goods receipt, goods issue, picking, packaging, shipping and complaint) to ensure our quality standards as well as meeting and over-fulfilling all relevant KPIs.
  • Continuous analysis of existing logistics structures in close coordination with processes such as production, production planning, transport and sales in order to continuously improve operations using best practices and to realise cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement the company’s Health and Safety policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the Warehouse and develop new ideas to improve safety within the workplace.
  • Supporting the Senior Management Team in achieving plant objectives, driving change and innovation.
  • Coordination and execution of inventory whilst upholding compliance with inventory accuracy and efficiency guidelines.
  • Develop knowledge, use and advance our MBM (Market Based Management) culture and guiding principles in the warehouse and wider group.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Completed apprenticeship with a focus on warehousing/logistics or forwarding, ideally a further training as a master professional of warehouse logistics (m/f/d) or a comparable training/study.
  • Relevant professional experience in the field of warehouse management as well as minimum 3 years of management experience in companies in the manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive organizational skills with hands-on mentality as well as good communication skills.
  • High level of responsibility and safety awareness for your area with entrepreneurial thinking and action.
  • Good knowledge of English in speaking and writing.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office applications.
  • Strong commitment and initiative, and a good team player.
