Plating Technician
Description
The SRG Global Plating Technician is responsible for managing all aspects of the plating line to ensure a safe work environment and the production of quality parts.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Chemical Adds- Make all chemical additions put out by the lab.
- Feeders- Make up any feeders that the lab tech reports necessary
- Filters- Change and maintain filters that need attending to throughout the day.
- Niko-Techs- Run Niko-Techs and ensure they are operating properly.
- Offline upkeep - Ensure there are no problems anywhere off line. If a problem should arise, notify appropriate personal.
- House Keeping- Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of plater.
- Triple Rinsing- Triple rinse containers throughout the day and dispose of properly.
- Used Filters- Dispose of any used filters in their proper waste container.
- Temperatures- Take manual temperatures every 2 hours and report out if there are any deviances from the defined ranges set.
- pH - Check pH’s every 2 hours and adjust according to results. Also report out on any deviances from the defined ranges set.
- Satin Panels- Run Satin to maintain the gloss in the Satin baths and report numbers to team leader.
- Tank Levels/Weirs- Maintain tank and weir levels at the proper volume.
- Line upkeep - Walk the line looking for any problems that arise in normal plating operations and report findings.
- Aucos - Learn Aucos so that you are able to handle issues if the team lead is away
- Chemical Adds- Help with any chemical additions required to the tanks.
- V-Blocks- Maintain cleanliness of v-blocks.
- Cranes- Clean all 3 photo-eyes and report any issues with cranes.

Requirements:
- Ability to become proficient in the plating department
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Basic verbal and written communication and math skills
- Must be able to follow a work instruction
- Must be able to focus for long periods of time
