Langley, BC

As we move towards commercialization and full production of our industry disruptive direct drive motors, we are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Production Planner / Scheduler. Reporting to the Production Planning Lead, you will be responsible for the production schedule for the manufacturing of finished products, ensuring that customer demands are met and that goods are produced and shipped in a cost-efficient and timely manner. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Plan and execute scheduling activities for production using our in-house ERP system in conjunction with DDMRP systems (Replenishment+ and DBR+) 
  • Plan and release work orders to the production floor that maximizes Drum capacity 
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Material teams to manage R+ inventory buffers 
  • Participate/Lead daily buffer meetings with operations personnel to manage backlog and work centre capacities 
  • Schedule new program launches; coordinate and communicate timelines with Operations, PMO, and Sales 
  • Collaboratively interact with various internal departments to share vital information that may be needed to maintain proper inventory levels and service to the customer 


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education 
  • 2+ years of production scheduling experience 
  • Proficient with one or more ERP systems 
  • Strong critical thinking and analytic skills; a strong problem solver 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 


What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Production Planning or Inventory Control certification (APICS – CPIM, CSCP) 
  • Demand Driven certification (DDPP, DDLP) 
  • Experience in operations transitioning from R&D to full production 
  • Familiar with TOC or DDMRP concepts
