Market Analyst


What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Strategy
  1. Support Asia nylon value chain strategy through different market analysis and research projects on regional market 
  2. In cooperation with the commercial leaders / managers, support the development and execution of (through local commercial teams) the Asia contract strategy where required 
  3. Identify and execute on actions to improve profitability, team with other subject matter experts to ensure changes result in sustainable value creation 
  4. Staying abreast of regional market trends and continue to polish our point of view
  • Market analysis 
  1. Understanding and tracking competitive intelligence on costs, capacity and strategy 
  2. Monitoring regional regulations, policies, trade data, auto build and other key levers of POV 
  3. Recommending competitive responses / pricing moves where required 
  4. Driving effective market intelligence communications 
  • Process 
  1. Develop tools and processes to improve quality and delivery efficiency of market analysis models, dashboards and knowledge systems 
  2. Optimize connection with adjacent commercial processes like customer segmentation, customer visits. 
  3. Maintain visualization subject matter expertise, staying abreast of developments and best practices 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • 2+ years of experience in market analysis, economics, or commercial/business development 
  • Excellent communication skills (Mandarin Chinese and English) 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed 
  • Capable to both participate in and lead conversations with senior management 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and consultants 
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, Thinkcell, Tableau and PowerBi will be a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, chemistry, engineering, economics, or related discipline

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2 years consulting firm experience will be a plus, preferably with project experience in auto, chemical, or energy 
  • Experience in financial modeling and database management 
  • Master's degree or higher in business, chemistry, engineering, economics, or related discipline
